(RP=92+) Disgorged without dosage in June 2018, the NV Extra Brut Grand Cru Rosé Zero is a blend of 90% Chardonnay from Avize and Cramant with 10% Ambonnay Pinot Noir. The wine offers up a pretty bouquet of rosehip, red apple, smoky citrus oils, and fresh bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, elegantly vinous palate framed by ripe acids and a delicate suggestion of phenolics that only amplifies the sapid, saline qualities that define this rosé's vibrant finish. I suspect this will show even better with another year on the cork.

(AG=92) The deeply-colored NV Rosé Zero is just as intense on the palate. A wine of uncommon depth and richness, the Rosé Zero has so much to offer. Readers should expect a rich, vinous Rosé built on texture and breadth. I loved it. The Rosé Zero could use another year or so in bottle to meld together, but it is incredibly deep and flavorful, even in the early going. The blend is 90% Chardonnay from Avize and Cramant, and 10% still Pinot from Ambonnay. Disgorged: June 25, 2018.

From the Winery:

A new cuvée created in 2013.  Alliance of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Grand Cru red wine from Pinot Noir from Ambonnay, this new Cuvée explores for the first time the lack of dosage in our Champagne Rosé. (non-dosed rosés are extremely rare in Champagne!)   The result is explosive! On the nose, we smell raspberries and wild strawberries. On the palate, the power of the red wine emerges here fully and is no longer masked by any pageantry…   The tannins are present, we can feel this very pleasant bitterness of a not quite ripe cherry…   A peppery note also appears, and we finish with the very present minerality of Chardonnay.
